Flatdeck; the most revolutionary roller reefing system from Facnor. No difficult reefing line but a polyester band on the drum. This means that a high drum is no longer necessary. The Flatdeck replaces all conventional reefing systems with a reefing line. The band rolls up neatly when the jib is rolled out. At the end of the band, the line is attached with a swivel for operation from the cockpit. With the special scepter blocks, the band runs smoothly to the rear. The drum has an open torlon bearing. These are easy to clean with a flush port. The major advantages of the Facnor Flatdeck are:
