Create a proper bonding and grounding system using Dynaplate ground plates to reduce the risk of serious hull damage and electrical shock from lightning strikes to your boat. Dynaplates do this by providing a path for current to reach the bottom (ground). SSB and AM radio transmitters rely on a suitable surface area to achieve their intended capacity. A Dynaplate ground plate provides a large, solid surface area (the water surrounding the boat). This is technically known as the "counterweight" and is the other necessary half of the antenna system. The bronze Dynaplate material also acts as an anode, providing yet another layer of corrosion resistance to stainless steel components.
